The Pipalyatjara and Kalka election occurred on the 14th September 2016.

The results were as follows:

Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara throws its support behind APY Thunder Print E-mail

Skill Hire and its valued partner, the South Australian National Football League (SANFL) are proud to announce that the Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Executive council met on June 9, and have thrown their full support and endorsement behind APY Lands Football and the formation of the APY Thunder team.

The Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Executive council have endorsed the program and can see the benefits it will bring to Anangu.

The Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara (APY) is incorporated by the 1981 Anangu Pitjantjatjara Yankunytjatjara Land Rights Act whereby the SA Parliament gave Aboriginal people title to more than 103,000 square kilometres of arid land in the far northwest of South Australia. The main communities on the Lands include: Indulkana, Mimili, Kaltjiti, Pukatja, Amata and Pipalyatjara. There are several homelands as well, the larger ones being Kalka, Kanpi and Nyapari.
